Complaints Received: �Off The Record� Briefing

The office of the Public Protector confirms that two complaints
have been received relating to the �off the record� briefing by
the National Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr Bulelane Ngcuka,
to certain black editors.
Both complaints, received from Messrs V Mona, Editor of City
Press, and B Kebble, appear to fall within the extended mandate of
the Hefer Commission. These complaints, together with all relevant
documentation will be forwarded to the Secretary of the Hefer
Commission.
