Outreach
Section 182(4) of the Constitution requires the Office of
the Public Protector to be accessible to all persons and
communities. Outreach is responsible for raising awareness
about the office and taking its services to the people.
The Outreach Team
Outreach is made up of the Executive Manager: Outreach and
the Manager: Outreach, based in Pretoria. They are supported
by Outreach Facilitators located at all Provincial Offices,
including National Office. They are further supported by
investigators who make presentations at different events and
activities.
We are always happy and willing as an office to speak to
members of the public, organisations and any other
stakeholder about the work of the Public Protector. Our
activities include participation at workshops, meetings,
conferences and other events.
You are therefore welcome to contact us to participate in
your events or activities, where we can make presentations
about our office, and even exhibit at such events. Request
for such participation should be addressed to the Outreach
Unit or to individual Provincial Representatives at
Provincial level. Requests can also be made for information
material.
Where however, presentations are sought from the Public
Protector herself/himself, requests should be made through
the Communications Office or Public Protector’s office.
We look forward to hearing from you and to a mutually
beneficial relationship.
