Relocation of the Office of the Public Protector

The Office of the Public Protector has relocated from the Pretoria CBD to the new premises in Hillcrest, Pretoria.

The move to relocate was necessitated by the growing workload of staff and the expansion of the Office of the Public Protector.

The expansion of the office and staff had led to a shortage in available accommodation at the previous premises.  The problem was also compounded by the landlord's inability to make available office space.

In addition, the previous premises were unsuitable to meet stringent security requirements, as determined by the National Intelligence Agency.

The new premises, situated in Hillcrest Office Park, on Lynnwood Road, are adequate, secure and easily accessible by all modes of public transport.
