Public Protector received a complaint
against the Acting Head of the NPA

he Public Protector Adv Mabedle Lawrence Mushwana today
received a formal complaint against the Acting Head of the
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Adv Mokotedi Mpshe.
The complaint is lodged by African National Congress
treasurer-general, Mr Matthews Phosa and it relates to an
alleged “unlawful conduct” by the Acting Head of the NPA.
The Public Protector’s office is established in terms of
Chapter 9 of the Constitution of South Africa. It
strengthens our young constitutional democracy through,
among others, investigating maladministration, delays in
service delivery, and allegations of impropriety or
prejudice by public administration in any sphere of
government.
